Cornwall is Blessed with beautiful beaches and unique wedding venues. From chic beachside hotels, seventeenth century pubs to stunning castles. We have picked just a few of our favourite venues.
Tregenna Castle, St Ives
Ever dreamed of a fairy tale wedding? Well, why not get married in an actual castle! Tregenna Castle’s 72-acre estate overlooks the bay of St Ives. Sweep down the steps to the stunning pavilion, or hold a regal ceremony inside the castle. With a beauty salon on site it is perfect for the girl who has always wanted to be a princess.
The Driftwood Spars, St Agnes
Looking for a more laid back affair? Then the Driftwood Spars may be the venue for you. A seventeenth century listed building nestled in Trevaunance Cove the Driftwood Spars combines the vintage with the modern. One half of the building is a traditional real ale pub steeped in history, while the other half is a modern dining room offering stunning sea views. You can sip some of your own bespoke ale, brewed in the brewery across the road, from the cliff top gardens. Bliss!
Bedruthan Hotel, Mawgan Porth
This chic, cliff top hotel is just minutes from Mawgan Porth beach. The perfect location for those beach photos. The hotel has a contemporary design throughout and a hydropool with views across the Atlantic. If hiring a function room is not enough, you can hire the whole hotel for your guests to play in. How cool is that?
Nancarrow Farm, Truro
Tucked-away in rolling countryside, these historic farm buildings provide a unique wedding venue. The green-oak framed event barn with exposed beams and rustic interior overlooks the millpond to the rear and faces into a picture-perfect courtyard. You can stay amongst their Grade II listed mill house, the old piggeries and a former milking parlour, or for something truly different one of their Tipis overlooking the barns from the orchard.
The Eden Project, Bodelva
There’s nowhere else in the world (that I know of!) where you can have an outside-wedding, inside! I also can’t think of anywhere else you can arrive at your wedding by zip wire, hold a ceremony on an ice rink or in a Malaysian house and take an aerial walk through the rainforest. Unique and awesome.
Of course the best thing about a Cornish wedding is the cream teas and pasty suppers. Prima can deliver cream teas and hot baked pasties direct to your venue. Not to worry if you are up country! We can post our cream tea box and frozen unbaked pasties to you anywhere in the mainland UK, for a price you just won’t believe.
